Aquabot Only Appears to Go in One Direction/Not for Long

by Bill
(Sykesville, MD)

My Aquabot will work when it is first turned on, but it appears to only go in one direction. Also, it runs for about 45 - 60 minutes then shuts down (I can hear the power supply turn off. Any ideas. Thanks...Bill

ANSWER: Several ideas. If the cord is severely twisted, it will pull the robot. Change the handle position.
Check that the axle bushings in the sideplate are in place.
Check that the rubber tracks are tight, not rubbing on the body or sideplate and evenly worn.

My choice? Coiled cable in the water pulling the robot around.
The premature shut-off is most likely a faulty timer in the power transformer.
