Dolphin Diagnostic Pumps Water, Won't Move

My Dolphin Diagnostic stopped moving, though the water is still pumping out. I took it out of the pool and turned it on its back to perform the diagnostic test. When the switch was turned on, the treads moved sightly forward and back as if trying but would not go more than 1/4 inch in each direction. They move freely by hand. Any suggestions?
