Dolphin robot gets stuck on wall return jets

Just got my Dolphin Supreme M5 today. Works well, but when climbing walls, it gets stuck on the return jets which protrude from the wall. I have swing jets, and even when not activated they protrude about 1 - 1 1/2 inches (more when they are active). The robot climbs but seems helpless, spinning the tracks and brushes without moving, when on such a jet. The jet bodies are about 2 inches in diameter.
Also, the robot sticks helplessly on the pool light, which has a glass lens (perhaps 6" diameter) with a much more gradual slope than the jets, on a larger ring body.
Any similar experiences? Is my unit faulty?
