Drive motor moved

by Pierre paludgnach

Hi,

Our dolphin easykleen stopped working few days ago.
I ralised that the caterpillar motor shaft was not anymore mecanically connected with the caterpillars.

From one think to another until i found the default: the drive motor in not fixed and moved in the casing.the casing is not sealed anymore. The silican g3l bag is torn and its content all over the place.
Can it be fixed again (assuming the electronics still works)?
Cheers
Pierre

It's dead
by: Dom Lando

As the admin said, it's pretty much toasted. I'd be interested in it for parts as I'm trying to learn more about these units and how the programming works. That is up to you if you want to sell anything to me or donate it.

Sadly it is ruined though. Silica bag should never be torn. It's only meant to remove moisture after the unit is sealed. If the motor was free to move, somehow you lost the retaining nut that screws into the motor and sandwiches two orings with the motor box to create a tight seal and keep the motor from moving around. Seems like someone tampered with it previously as there is usually a tiny bit of loc-tite on the threads keeping it from coming loose like on your unit.

Sorry to hear that this happened to you.

-Dom

P.s- let me know if you want to sell or send me any of the damaged parts. Flyinpolak@yahoo.com

How?
by: ADMIN

How could the motor move? That's a large nut hiolding it in place.
Nothing in the motor case can be replaced, sorry.
