First start of season. Dolphin Won't Start

I put the unit in my pool and when I pressed the "ON" button, the button "lit" and there was a little buzz and the light on the button clicked off. I checked the connector plug from the feed line and it was secure. I checked the unit to make sure that tracks were aligned and that nothing was hindering the fan blade. Any suggestions?? Could the water bee too cold??? Thanks in advance for any help offered.
