rewiring 3 pin to 4 pin replacement plug for power supply.

We have a Maytronics Dolphin Wave 100. Life guards wrapping cord too tight around cart handle eventually broke wires off at original 3 pin plug. Got replacement plug (Amphenol Plug P/N 5000009). Replacement plug was 4 pin. Which is labelled 1,2,3,4, on inside once you take it appart. So which wire goes into which hole.... Remember it is a one way plug so right wire must go into right pin. Original plug was one single molded piece of plastic, it DOES NOT separate. I literally cut it in half, length wise, to determine which wire went to which pin. Red is ground to pin 4, Black to pin 3 and White to pin 2.

I have been trying to set up my dolphin wave 100, A staff member yanked the cord out, the cord has white black and red. I put the black in slot 4 red in slot 2 white in slot 3. On the power supply there is black in slot 4 purple in slot 3 and red in slot 2.

The unit powers up but doesn't work, any suggestions?

Maytronics customer service has a lot to be desired. Had to search outside sources to determine which replacement part I needed (Dolphin Amphenol Plug 5000009). It came without any instructions. No info at all on the Maytronics web site on how to replace it and customer service # is only answered during regular business hours. This was the best site I found and it actually had pictures! Thank you.

I can confirm this works with a dolphin Nautilis - my cable did not have red (ground)

Black to pin 3 and white to pin 2. Would not have found easily without this site - Thank you!

Needed this plug : Maytronics 5000009 Amphenol Plug - 25$ on ebay

and 1.5mm x 50mm hex key which I got from Amazon.
