Robot Stays In Deep End

My machine heads for the deep end of the pool and does not return to clean the shallow end. What can I do to get the machine to clean the whole pool?
ADMIN REPLY: Be certain the cable is not severely kinked. Water flow and suction enable the robot to climb out..change the bag, look for debris jammed into or around the impeller vent. CHANGE THE HANDLE POSITION>

None of the suggestions work. Rover still stays at the deep end. What a waist of money.
