the robot doesn't sink

by claudio conti
(Brivio (Lecco)-Italy)

After the completion of a cycle, I took the robot out of the pool, washed the filter bag, reassembled it and put it back into the pool to make a second full cycle.
At that moment the robot did not sink. Tried several times without success. What should I do?
Thanks
ADMIN REPLY: Sounds like trapped air in the robot body. Turn it on it's side and let the air escape.

Robot doesn't sink
by: Anonymous

I have learned that the reason the robot doesn't sink is due to air trapped in the filter bag i remove the entire cover exposing the filter bag and noticed that it when it was placed in the water it filled with air and was very hard to disburse. Once I got the air out of the bag the robot worked perfectly It is an easy solution to determine if this is your problem the cost obviously zero

Fixed my floating problem
by: Bravethunder

I just learned that there are floats, two of them attached to the handle. Mine are grey and you can just unclip them from the handle. They are optional and can be removed. This fixed my problem with my dolphin not sinking. Hope this helps.

One reason why a robot will float
by: Anonymous

IF you have PVA brushes or PVA rings that have not become saturated with water then they will cause the robot to float. PVA is a foam rubber brush.
Once saturated with water they become heavy and lose buoyancy.

Won't stay on bottom of pool
by: Anonymous

Same problem. Tried every way to remove trapped air. Works for 10 minutes or so then floats right back up. Does not sit flat on pool floor. Side opposite the cord is the problem side. Runs on one side, tilted, the flips on cord side trying to move but can't so stops and then floats to top of pool..seems like more then trapped air and seems that many other owners have this problem. Any other solutions other the shaking , tilting, and holding upside down?
