The wires pulled out of the plug at the supply unit

Daughter pulled on the cord and it broke at the supply unit where you turn it off an on. Has two wires. One is black on one is white. Then have four numbers to plug wires into which one does each plug into..thanks Love a answer sent to. vissiaj@bellsouth.net...
