T4 Turbo with wireless remote pump jammed

I have a T4 with wireless remote and found a piece of plastic which had jammed in the impeller. After freeing the impeller and restarting the unit the pump motor would not run. Could the impeller getting jammed cause the motor to fail? Is this something I can replace on my own? Click here to read or post comments.
