What voltage does pump motor run on?

by Jon
(Delaware)

My pump stopped working. When I first checked it it would spin if I moved it with my finger, so I ordered the capacitors. Installed 1st set and it wouldn't turn. Installed second set, still no go.

I measured the voltage from the power supply, it was at 34volts. I measured the voltage going into the pump and it was 29 volts (with caps removed). Voltage goes to zero with caps installed.

I see warnings not to test unless in water. I started it up dry for a few seconds with the motor open. Is there a water sensor that prevents the motor from turning the pump on?
