help needed - goes to same path over and over in deep end

My dolphin always worked great but then last time i put it in my relatively large pool, once it gets to the deep end it just goes back and forth over and over again on the same track path for hours and never changes. Any ideas?

ADMIN REPLY: Be sure the cable is not kinked and severely twisted. The robots can't fight an abused ill-maintained cable.
Run without the bag and see if the robot runs normal. A dirty clogged bag will damper the suction needed to exit the deep area.

I have a maytronics dolphin. Very disappointed in the overall performance. I will never buy another one. Way too much money for what they do. Call if customer support is a waste of time

Technician told me that the pool has to be properly balanced, he said that the tracks are slipping stopping it from turning. Pool balanced, still same path. Any solutions put there yet?

My dolphin pool cleaner does exactly the same thing.

I guess these have a life if about 3 years then sell them and start again.

Seems we all we the same issues but really no answers....only 2 months with my dolphin premier...stays on one side of pool....and eventually stays in a corner and rollers working but not going anywhere....no problems with cable...handle is diagonal...have tried changing position of footers on handle ...nothing works...so frustrating

Have the same problem as lots of others, only cleans the deep end. My only complaint is when you first buy your cleaner, is that the instruction book that comes with it does not have a complete trouble shooting section, nothing about what to do, with what seems to be a common problem just cleaning the one section. Working properly it's the greatest time saver, but not cheap so it's not something that can be replaced every year or so. It took a lot of research to find this website that actually had the info that I needed.

The handle must be diagonally situated across the body. If you are unsure what diagonal means then think of a box divided into triangles, it is the diagonal line that makes 2 triangles in a box. This is the problem in most cases. The next item would be the belts.

Igf the handle is not diagonal (at an angle) to the robot then the robot will go back and forth in the same place.

Bag is clean. Cord is not kinked. Has ran well for quite some time. Now, it just goes from one wall to the other on the same path. Any ideas?

We also have a dolphin model LD deluxe-3 and the dolphin does the same pattern in the middle of the pool and never gets to the sides. Ideas?

I have the same issue. Bag is clean, cord is not kinked. The Dolphin will go back and forth, from one wall to the other wall. The cleaner works fine, but will stay on that same pattern until I pull it in a different direction. I have tried adjusting the handle positions, but it still spends 90% of the cleaning cycle just going back and forth.
