Dolphin Diagnostic Advantage Torn Silica Bag

Runs for a few minutes then stops. All input & output power ok all thru out the time. No burned wires nor connections either. No obstruction/s in impeller, tracks & bearings. What I noticed is when I disassembled motor, shaft rotates smoothly one direction but kinda sticky the other way. Though I doubt it's the motor since it runs a few minutes both direction before stopping. Also found the dehumidifier bag ripped with its contents spilled inside the Motor Assy. Don't know what else to check, please help. Thanks.

Hmmm

Not much else to check, use a paint brush with denatured alcohol to clean the board iPad use a vacuum to pull the silica out. Make sure to really clean the o-ring on the lid and the grove it goes into to allow for a good seal. I prefer using silicone to reseal the motor unit. As for testing, just have the wires all plugged in, and try to run the unit. When Dolphins are upside down (impeller facing the ground) the PC board goes into test mode. If it turns the motor on and off in both directions and the pump on, then everything is a-o.k. If it fails to go through its diagnostics function then the board may have gotten damaged.

I'm working on a way to re-flash the CPU's in the event that this happens. So far no dice but I'll keep everyone posted and make a thread on here if I do.

Best of luck.

If it's a total loss I'm always looking for parts :)

Silica Bag

Most likely the desiccant silica is shorting the electronic board.
