Dolphin Diagnostic

I purchased the Dolphin Diagnostic in September of 2007. The first time I used it was in June of 2008. I have used the Robotic for four seasons meaning I have actually used the unit for approximately 48 weeks. Here being my 5th season, I placed the unit into the pool and turned it on. After exactly 45 seconds the pool sweep stopped moving. I shut the power off and waited 30 seconds nd once again turned on the power. The Robot started moving and once again exactly 45 seconds later the unit stopped. HELP!!!
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can attempt to do to try t fix the unit? I am somewhat handy but not really sure what to look for as to the cause of this problem. I see that many other people seem to have similar problems with their Dolphins but when I call Maytronix they refuse to let me speak with a technician.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I would love to have a repair service in NJ. The original warranty was with Smartpool out of Lakewood NJ but they are no longer affiliated with Dolphin.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Dolphin Diagnostics moving for 45 sec
by: Paul N.

Had same problem after 7 years of good service. Verified the Power supply was good, so next was the MBU or Motor Unit inside the Dolphin. It is a sealed unit. If you are handy you can replace yourself. nd $500+. I replaced mine and it now works like new and runs with a new 3 hour program, cleans faster versus the previous 6 hour program.
