Amphenol Plug replacement
by: Gordon (South Africa)

Hi, I just replaced the plug at the end of my Maytronics Wave75 Robotic pool cleaner cable. I managed to carefully dismantle the old plug which is a sealed unit to confirm the correct wiring. When you face the rear of the male plug and line it up correctly; Bottom Left = Pin 2 - White wire, Bottom Right = Pin 3 - Black wire, Top Right = marked as earth - Red wire. Pin 1 is empty on my unit. Hope this the DIY enthusiasts.

To verify wiring
by: Anonymous

Look inside the power supply transformer box to check the wiring or pull out the socket. Some sockets are retained with screws from the outside.

This would be the surest way to verify your wiring scheme.

Still doesn't work
by: Anonymous

I've tried the white in 1, the black in 1. Any suggestions? I connect up another robot and it works, so the problem seems to lie with the plug.

Connector issues : what slot for each wire?
by: G.F

Is there anyone that can say which of the numbered slots (1-4, they are numbered on the connector itself) the white and the black wires go into? I think the white goes into #2, but that leaves me with 3 choices for black (and apparently #1 isn't it?).

Also, what type of tool is needed for the "screws" at the side of the slots for tightening the wire? My connector has what appears to be threaded hollow tubes that none of my small eyeglasses screwdrivers fit at all. They spin inside the tube, but the tube doesn't turn at all regardless of what I try.

Thanks,
g.f

On Transformer Black top Right, White Top Left
by: Anonymous

On this page is a photo of the transformer outlet inside, taken with the transformer laying on it's side.
https://www.i-love-my-aquabot-automatic-pool-cleaner.com/dolphin-diagnostic-transformer.html

Looking at the outlet from the OUTSIDE and transformer right side up, it would appear that the black is top right and the white is top left.
