Dolphin floating cable only has 3 prongs

I just bought a brand new Dolphin Deluxe 4. As I was about to put the connector from the floating cable into the socket on the power supply, I noticed there were only 3 metal prongs in the connector, but there are 4 holes in the socket. Is this the way it should be or is it a factory defect?

ADMIN REPLY: The cable only has two wires. Don't worry about it.

Actually, most Dolphin units only require 2 wires to the motor unit.
