Dolphin stops before cycle is finished

My Dolphin was made in 1995. Just recently it has stopped before running through its cycle for cleaning the pool. If I turn it off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on it starts up again but stops within approximately 5 minutes.

I'm not sure what the trouble is, and need help in diagnosing the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most unit fail after a few years. The "diagnostic" part of the cleaner is "too smart" and decides that the unit is not drawing the proper currents so it shuts down. This usually happens after less than 1minute on newer units.
