Dophin stopped working is it cold water

I've had my Dolphin pool cleaner for 4 or 5 years, never take it out of the pool, leave it in year round. For the first time it has stopped running. It turns on goes forward then back, light blinks and it shuts off. Is it water temp???? I've never seen this in past years, has always run year round, no problems. And it is not colder this year in the PNW.

I don’t have water in mine, and it does the same thing with a new motor. So now what’s the problem?

That describes my problem - when it starts its first "reverse," it stops. But how does this get fixed?

you have water in the motors. Not really a good idea to leave the robot in the water 24/7
