Drive motor works intermittently

I have the aquabot turbo, its about 3 yrs old. When I turn it on, everything functions, but within 5 minutes the drive motor will stop working while the pump still works. I will turn it off and after 30 minutes back on and it will repeat the above(all works for 5 minutes, then drive stops but pump still works). What do you thing is wrong with the unit?

ADMIN REPLY: Be certain the motor has stopped. When the motor stops, turn the unit upside down and check that the drive shaft not turning.
Otherwise, I would have to remove the motor from the robot, then remove the actual motor from the case and bench test.
