how do I know when it is time to Replace Maytronics Dolphin Nautilus Tracks and brushes

by Steve

I am having to replace the climbing rings on my maytronics premier dolphin pool cleaner. In order to do so, I have to remove the tracks and brushes. This is the 3rd summer I have used this cleaner (I leave it in the pool most of the winter too).

Is there a way to determine when I should replace the tracks and brushes as well?

Dolphin maintenance
by: Scott

I have had a Maytronics product for over 12 years. First was the diagnostic. Now I have the Nautilus plus CC that I've had for several years. It's very easy to maintain yourself. I check the tracks and climbing wheels regularly. The climbing wheels are just cheap foam and wear out easily. I usually change the tracks and wheels at the same time. The last set of tracks I've gotten almost 4 years out of and it runs 3 days a week. It is a great product.

Track wear
by: Bud H.

Also, look at the inside of the tracks where they contact the drive sprockets. Mine were extremely worn there (down to small nubs) while the outside of the tracks looked fine. My Dolphin was about 14 years old at that point.

When the tracks are loose or the machine has no traction.
