My Dolphin doesn't pick up dirt or debris

It moves. I put in new cartrdiges. I've checked the impeller. The brushes move. It just doesn't pick anything up.

Invest in some knee highs. Place top of knee high around base of slotted sleeve. Pull up so that only the top is firmly around base. Give it a try. You will be amazed!!! Nothing escapes. My pool is so clean. It even captures algae.

I had an aquabot, and it would pick up all the very fine debris. I ordered the ultra fine filter for the triton, but it still just blows most of it back out.

If the bag is loose then the pump will pull it off the bottom plate causing debris to escape.

Is it really that important that the bag fits in there perfect? I cut the band off it because it broke. What was that band for? How would it affect leaves sneaking into the motor area and no leaves going in the bag. It's climbing the walls and the impeller is blowing trash leaves and small sticks out the top. Crazy!!!

You are correct that climbing is only possible with suction and where there is suction there is intake.
You may have a poorly fitting bag or even a hole in the bag. Otherwise the robot appears to be working normally.

Just curious, would the unit climb the walls if the pump wasn't working properly. I would not think there would be enough suction to climb the walls.

If your pump is not spinning the impeller then the pump is bad or the connection is bad. Unfortunately, Maytronics does not sell the motors to repair your machine.
