Rubber gasket/seal while reassembling

by Laura
(WNC)

I followed the scant instructions to clean the impeller when my unit repeatedly turned off after 10 to 15 seconds. Now putting it all back together, I’m afraid I might damage the gasket with the top/cover plate, as it is very difficult to reassemble. How do I put the gasket in place. I don’t want to pull on the cord and I don’t want to tear the rubber. Thanks.

Out of necessity I figured it out myself. I squeezed the rubber gasket folding it kind of into a taco shape so that I could slide it onto the plate and then into place on the second piece, the main part of the unit. It’s sealed well and is running perfectly.
